Hi, I'm Michael Miller. Software engineer by trade, lifelong animal lover by heart. This is the story of how Biscuit ended up with a watercolor portrait above my desk.

It started with a golden retriever named Biscuit, a terrible smartphone photo, and a commission quote that made me laugh out loud.

When Biscuit turned 10, I wanted something special. A real painted portrait to hang in the living room, the kind you'd see in a grand estate. I reached out to several pet portrait artists and got quotes ranging from $200 to over $600, with wait times of 4 to 8 weeks.

“There has to be a better way,” I thought. “I spend my days building software. I know what AI can do. Why can't I just upload Biscuit's photo and get a beautiful painting in seconds?”

So I built it. What started as a weekend experiment turned into something I could not stop improving. Every iteration looked better than the last. Friends asked for their pets to be painted. Then friends of friends. Then strangers on the internet.

In early 2025, I launched Pet Portrait Generator with a simple philosophy: every pet deserves to be celebrated, and every pet owner deserves an affordable, beautiful way to do it.

Quality first.
We only ship features that produce results we'd be proud to hang on our own walls.
Fair and honest.
Credits never expire. If a generation fails, your credit comes back instantly. No support ticket required.
Privacy by design.
Your pet photos are yours. We store them securely, never share them, and never use them to train AI models.
Built for real people.
No jargon, no confusing settings. Upload a photo, pick a style or describe your own, get a portrait. That's it.

Today, Pet Portrait Generator has helped thousands of pet owners create portraits of their dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and even the occasional hamster. Biscuit's watercolor portrait still hangs in my living room, right next to my monitor.

If you have a question, feedback, or just want to share a portrait you are proud of, I read every email personally.
